Influence of five model parameters on the performance of a CO2 absorber column by a loaded aqueous MEA solution

Rigorous packed-bed absorber modeling and simulation are significant for post-combustion CO 2 capture processes design. Hence, a good knowledge judicious selection of model parameters essential to ensure reliable predictions. In this paper, the reactive absorption into loaded aqueous monoethanolamine solution was modeled, furthermore, effects five different (kinetic model, enhancement factor, enthalpy absorption, diffusivity, vapor pressure) were investigated. Finally, study revealed that some have large influence on column performance, contrary others. addition, methods correlations generally provide more accurate predictions empirical data relative other cases involved in research determined each parameter. It also found deviation reduced by 18% 4% liquid temperature liquids loading profiles, respectively, while comparing between worst best case.
